Welcome to the world of Andreas Hutter Immerse yourself in a world where bold colours, cinematic visions and expressive storytelling come together. I am Andreas Hutter, an artist living in Vienna whose journey began behind the camera and now unfolds on the canvas. After years as a filmmaker and cinematographer – with studies at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and international experience – I discovered painting in 2020 as a way to explore new dimensions of storytelling. My works are rooted in a contemporary, expressive style that is strongly influenced by my cinematic past: each work is a frame, each brushstroke a gesture towards emotion, memory and meaning. I believe that art should provoke, invite and challenge – whether through a solitary figure, a vibrant abstraction or a scene full of energy. My most recent exhibitions include participation in the Parallel Vienna Contemporary Art Fair 2024+2025, as well as a solo exhibition at the BEI MIR gallery/bar and a solo exhibition at the Donlager in Vienna. With my art, I invite you to view the world through a lens that is both familiar and foreign – where every painting tells a story and every story is an invitation.

Ich bin Andreas Hutter, ein in Wien lebender Künstler, dessen Weg hinter der Kamera begann und sich nun auf der Leinwand entfaltet. Nach Jahren als Filmemacher und Kameramann – mit einem Studium am American Film Institute in Los Angeles und internationaler Erfahrung – habe ich 2020 die Malerei für mich entdeckt, um neue Dimensionen des Erzählens zu erforschen.
Meine Arbeiten sind in einem zeitgenössischen, expressiven Stil verwurzelt, der stark von meiner filmischen Vergangenheit geprägt ist: Jedes Werk ist ein Bildausschnitt, jeder Pinselstrich eine Geste in Richtung Emotion, Erinnerung und Bedeutung. Ich bin überzeugt, dass Kunst provozieren, einladen und herausfordern sollte – sei es durch eine einsame Figur, eine lebendige Abstraktion oder eine Szene voller Energie.

Zu meinen jüngsten Ausstellungen zählen die Teilnahme an der Parallel Vienna Contemporary Art Fair 2024+2025, sowie eine Einzelausstellung in der Gallerie/Bar BEI MIR und eine Soloausstellung im Donlager in Wien.
